| Because of their unique coats, Australian Labradoodles usually have no body odor, they do not require constant bathing and brushing, which is great for all types of owners. Australian Labradoodles are proving to be ideal for asthma and allergy sufferers, as wool and most fleece coat Australian Labradoodles rarely shed. Australia Labradoodles inherit the most desirable characteristics of its forebears, making them a long living happy-go-lucky dog with the added vitality of hybrid vigor and genetic soundness of mind and body.
With careful breeding the Australian Labradoodle, will have good conformation, be smart with a great temperament and healthy, and the Labradoodle will become recognized as a new-ago-pure breed.
Keep in mind that all A.K.C. registered pure breed and show dogs started with men and women cross breeding dogs. From the wild to the domesticated dogs; fluffy to smooth coat; breeding small to medium, like the Bullmasstiff or the Boston Bull Terrier etc. Think about it; you will think of a couple a breeds. And some haven't been recognized for very long.
With the careful breeding the Australia Labradoodle has endeavored to achieve, we as guardians of this relatively new breed must ensure the Labradoodle continues to be bred with temperament, health, and type in mind at all times.
We are working with many breeders towards developing a breed standard for the future recognition of the Australian Labradoodle as a AKC. The Australian Labradoodle Club of America www.australianlabradoodleclub.us and the Labradoodle Association of Australia and the International Labradoodle Association of Australia (ILA) have been formed to provide a place to register and record the Australian Labradoodle to strive to maintain the soundness and integrity of the breed.
